Used as the object of a verb or preposition when the speaker is also the subject.

• I cut myself while I was shaving this morning.
  Bu sabah tıraş olurken kendimi kestim.
• I bought myself a new pair of shoes.
  Kendime yeni bir çift ayakkabı aldım.

Used to emphasize that the speaker does something personally, not someone else.

• I prepared the whole dinner myself tonight.
  Bu akşam bütün yemeği kendim hazırladım.
• I myself don't agree with that idea.
  Ben şahsen bu fikre katılmıyorum.

Used in 'by myself' to mean alone, or without any help.

• I live by myself in a small flat.
  Küçük bir dairede tek başıma yaşıyorum.
• I fixed the bike all by myself.
  Bisikleti tamamen kendi kendime tamir ettim.

In my usual state of health or mind, as in 'I'm not myself today'.

• Sorry, I'm not feeling myself today.
  Kusura bakma, bugün kendimde değilim.
• After a long holiday, I finally feel like myself again.
  Uzun bir tatilden sonra nihayet eski hâlime döndüm.
